Provide an opportunity to socialize and share information. Clubs may serve a specific group (e.g., retirees of a company), or a particular locale or interest. Many clubs are associated with Senior Community Centers located throughout the county. See Senior Community Centers section for contact information. | The local AARP chapters provide informative and entertaining programs at monthly meetings (except July and August) which cover a spectrum of elder concerns. Tours are planned by members with careful attention to costs, itineraries and arrangements. A December dinner and a June picnic are scheduled yearly. A monthly bulliten is sent to members. Meeting place is handicapped accessible with an elevator. |
